Your Safety

Safety First.
Always.

Road69 is built on trust. Here is everything you need to know to stay safe while finding your adventure partner.

🛡️

ID Verified Members

Every Road69 member goes through identity verification before their first activity. No anonymous profiles. Full accountability for everyone.

Activity Reviews

After every meetup both people leave a review. Bad actors are identified and removed quickly. Good members build a trusted reputation over time.

📍

Check In System

Before every activity meetup use our check-in feature to let a trusted contact know where you are going and who you are meeting.

🚨

Emergency Alert

One tap sends your live location to your emergency contact and alerts the Road69 safety team. Available 24 hours a day.

Before You Meet Someone

01
Check Their Profile Carefully

Read their activity history and reviews from previous partners. A trustworthy member has a track record. Be cautious of brand new profiles with no reviews.

02
Chat First

Use the Road69 messaging system to get to know someone before agreeing to meet. Trust your gut feeling from the conversation.

03
Tell Someone Where You Are Going

Always tell a trusted friend or family member the name of the person you are meeting, where you are going, and when you expect to be back.

04
Use the Check In Feature

Activate Road69 check-in before your meetup. Your emergency contact will be notified automatically when you arrive and when you leave safely.

05
Keep Your Personal Details Private

Do not share your home address, workplace, or financial information with someone you have not met yet. Use the Road69 platform for all communication initially.

During Your Activity Meetup

01
Always Meet in Public First

For your first meetup always choose a public location — a trail head, a cafe, a class, or a market. Never meet at a private residence for the first time.

02
Have Your Own Transport

Drive yourself or use your own transport for first meetups. This means you can always leave when you feel comfortable without relying on the other person.

03
Stay Sober

Keep a clear head especially on first meetups. If your activity involves drinks keep it moderate so you stay aware and in control.

04
Trust Your Instincts

If something feels wrong it probably is. You never owe anyone your time or presence. Leave whenever you feel uncomfortable — no explanation needed.

Refusing to video chat or show their face before meeting
Stories that keep changing or do not add up
Asking you to communicate outside Road69 very quickly
Making you feel guilty for having boundaries or concerns
Profiles with no reviews or very new accounts with urgent requests
